Intercultural Forum on Democratic Citizenship and Culture of Peace
Organised by the FCJ, in partnership with the United Network of Young Peace Makers and ADYNE and with the support of the United Nations and the Cape Verde Youth Directorate, the Forum will gather around 100 participants to debate on Democratic Citizenship and Culture of Peace, as axes for the sustainable development of the society. It will focus on strengthen cross-cultural understanding in Capeverdean, African and global youth through the promotion of Democratic Citizenship and Culture of Peace initiatives, in order to achieve a more tolerant and glocal intercultural society. At the Forum participants will discuss and interact with experts, share experiences on this topics, exchange projects with other leaders and elaborate a Declaration and Action Plan on Democratic Citizenship and Culture of Peace, as well as establish a Global Youth Alliance on Democratic Citizenship and Culture of Peace to advocate together for a more enabling environment for Democratic Citizenship and Culture of Peace.

Post 2015 Agenda on Population and Youth Employment Conference
Organised by the FCJ and the Organisation of African Youth, in partnership with the main youth networks in Africa, to contribute to the post MDG debate by the youth in two main topics: population and youth employment. In the framework of the International Conference in Population and Development, and according to the priorities of the youth leaders gathered in the Africa Europe Youth Co-operation Platform meeting, it will involve mainly youth leaders aiming:
To bring together youth activists to review the attainment of MDGs in Africa, develop strategies for accelerating the achievement of the MDGs and plan for the Post-2015 Development Framework, with special focus on Population and Youth Employment.
To strengthen partnership within youth organisations in the region to implement MDGs, Population and Youth Employment based projects.
To create a platform for young people to learn and share their best practices in their actions towards achieving the MDGs and decent work conditions for young people.
To mobilize and motivate young people to actively get involved in the ongoing national, regional and international consultations on the Post-2015 Development Agenda.
To come up with an African Youth Declaration for the Post-2015 Agenda on Population and Youth Employment.

Meeting of Youth Organisations Platforms
Meeting of Youth Organisations Platforms
Organised by the Cape Verde Youth Federation and the Youth Leagues, it aims at gathering main leaders of the Youth Organisations to draft a common working agenda. This activity will develop a strategic plan to match with the specific needs of the Youth Organisations, as a way to guarantee a better and larger outreach of the youth action in their communities. Likewise, a balance of implemented activities will be done, so Youth Organisations can analyse and evaluate the outcomes and promote synergies and partnerships among youth participants and organisations.

Training on youth association, leadership and entrepreneurship
Promoted by the Youth League of S. Vicente, in partnership with the FCJ and the Local Youth Council of S. Vicente, it will gather main local youth representatives to train them in these particular youth issues. The training will use non-formal education methodology to foster youth entrepreneurship, leadership and association, with a gender based approach, to promote the active participation of women in youth associations. Furthermore, this will facilitate the integration and valorisation of women in local associations, as a way to strength their participation youth related policies and actions.

2nd Meeting of the Africa-Europe Youth Platform
Facilitated by the NSC, the meeting will gather all permanent appointed members and institutional partners of the platform. The mission of the AEYP is to coordinate, implement and follow-up the Africa-Europe Youth Co-operation (as defined in 2012-2015 Action Plan). The meeting aims to follow-up the creation in the first meeting (Addis Ababa, November 2012) of the thematic working groups on Youth Employment and MDGs - Beyond 2015 Agenda and it is also expected to be an opportunity for coordinated action between members and institutional partners towards the IV EU-Africa Summit of Heads of State and Government (Spring 2014).
