G20 Youth Summit

What is the G20 Youth Summit?

It is an international non-governmental project. Annually, we select around 150-200 best students and young experts in the field of international relations, economics, finance and law who are eligible to become young head of state or ministers in the national youth delegations to the G20 Youth Summit.

The result of a 3-day G20 Youth Summit will be the final Communique (recommendations) discussed and approved by the participants. The Communique will be disseminated throughout the world and shared, in particular, with the G20 Heads of States and leading international organizations such as IMF, World Bank, OECD, European Commission, or Basel Committee of Banking Supervision.

What is the Purpose of the G20 Youth Summit?
To involve young leaders from all over the world in resolving the most pressing economic and social problems of the moment;
To establish an intercultural dialogue;
To build business partnerships and friendships.

What is the Format of the G20 Youth Summit?

Presidential and ministerial committees working in parallel to discuss the agenda and create the Communique.

Sherpas1;
Ministers of Economy;
Ministers of Finance;
Ministers of Energy;
Ministers of Education;
Ministers of Environment;
Ministers of Development;
Ministers of Social Affairs;
Ministers of Culture;
Journalist2.

1) Sherpas are the assistants to the Heads of States in issues related to G8 & G20. During the G20 Youth Summit sherpas coordinate the work of the national delegation .

2) Journalists cover the work of their national delegations in the Summit.

The participants of the G20 Youth Summit will also have the opportunity to participate in the general events of the G20 Youth Forum:
The official opening and closing ceremonies of the G20 Youth Forum;
Panel Session for all the delegates of G20 Youth Forum;
Workshops with experts;
Business breakfasts with leading politicians, prominent academics and successful businessmen;
Official opening reception of the G20 Youth Forum;
Gala Dinner;
Imperial Ball "Silver Angel";
Concert of classical music;
Informal communication.

Who can participate in the G20 Youth Summit?
A young expert in the sphere of international affairs, economics or finance;
Aged between 18 and 30;
Good communication skills in English;
A citizen or a student of a university of the G20 countries.
