ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR,FINANCE BASED IN DAR ES SALAAM,TANZANIA

POSITION DESCRIPTION
THE ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR ,FINANCE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE OVERSIGHT OF THE FINANCE UNIT IN THE COUNTRY PORTFOLIO.REPORTING TO THE COUNTRY DIRECTOR,THE AD,FINANCE WILL ACT AS THE PRIMARY LIAISON TO THE FHI 360 REGIONAL OFFICE IN SOUTH AFRICA AND FHI 360 WASHINGTON ON ALL FINANCE AND COMPLIANCE ISSUES.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENT
  • BACHELOR DEGREE OR INTERNATIONAL EQUIVALENT IN BUSINESS, FINANCE, ACCOUNTING OR RELATED FIELD REQUIRED
  • MASTER DEGREE OR ITS INTERNATIONAL EQUIVALENT IN BUSINESS FINANCE,ACCOUNTING OR RELATED FIELD PREFERRED

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

The African Youth Panel would like to call for applications for new members in its Central African Region, with a Regional meeting scheduled from the 8th to 10 February 2013 in Yaounde Cameroon.

Membership is only open to young people ages 18 – 35 years in the following countries in Central Africa:

Angola
Burundi
Congo
Congo DRC
Gabon
Equatorial Guinea
Sao Tome and Principe
Republic of Chad
Central African Republic

The Application deadline is Saturday January 12, 2013.

Method of Application:

1. Fill and complete the Membership Application Form

2. Send resume/CV

US/Canada Grants for the Academic Year 2013-14


For students from developing countries who are currently studying in the United States or Canada, the MMMF awards grants of approximately $12,000 each; grants are not renewable.  The MMMF also typically invites the recipients to Washington DC to participate in a three day Awards Program organized in their honor.

A woman is eligible to apply for an MMMF grant if she meets all the following criteria:

  1. has a record of service to women and children and a commitment to improve the lives of women and children in developing countries
  2. resides in the U.S. or Canada at the time she submits the application
  3. is enrolled (in residence) at an accredited U.S. or Canadian educational institution for the academic year 2012-2013, and intends to be enrolled for the 2013-2014 academic year
  4. will use the grant toward the completion of her degree
  5. is a national of a lower or middle income developing member country, as designated by the MMMF Country Eligibility List
  6. is not a U.S. or Canadian citizen, permanent U.S. resident or Canadian Landed Immigrant
  7. intends to return to her country (or other developing country) within two years of completing use of the MMMF grant and perform at least two years of service
  8. demonstrates financial need and satisfactory academic performance
  9. is at least 25 years old by December 31, 2012
  10. is not related to a World Bank Group staff member or his/her spouse
There are no exceptions to the MMMF educational grant criteria listed above.

 

The application for the academic year 2013/2014 is open from October 15th until January 9th, 2013.

 

Commonwealth Caribbean Train-the Trainers Course in Human Rights


Announcing the Commonwealth Caribbean Train-the Trainers Course in Human Rights during February 4 to 8, 2013. Recruitment is ongoing for persons between the ages of 18 to 35 with knowledge and interest in human rights who will commit to conduct training in their respective communities/countries after undergoing the training. We are targeting established individuals / representatives of organisations who already conduct Human Rights work – but may have not yet included a youth dimension and youth leaders and youth workers who are part of strong networks and through those networks can plan and deliver human rights education and awareness training to young people. Do you want to be part of the pioneering Caribbean Youth and Adolescent Human Rights Network?
