The West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI) in partnership with Akina Mama WA Afrika (AMwA) is pleased to invite applications from interested and qualified persons to a 5-day training on “Economic Justice for Women working in the Oil and Gas sector”.
The training which is specially designed for African women is scheduled to hold from March 31 - April 4, 2014 in Accra, Ghana with primary focus on "Economic Rights of Women", mainly in Oil and Gas sector. It also seeks to strengthen the capacities of African women to effectively influence related policies and build a regional network of women in the extractive industry in Nigeria, Liberia and Ghana.
AMwA will cover the costs towards accommodation, air travel and meals. We kindly request that you cater for your medical travel insurance as AMwA does not cover this.

AYANGO, as a must attend conference would connect youths NGO with other international expects working on youth related issues in Africa with the world’s leading global leaders to exchange interesting new ideology and how to tackle your current challenges affecting your NGO.
The Conference will also factor an overview of the key challenges of Africa's Youth problems and prospects for economic improvement, development, leading to the implementation of innovative and rebuilding of core value, collaborative strategies and away forward. Diverse speakers from various NGOs in Africa will deliver brief talks and NGO experience on the opportunities afforded to Africa to advance its position with other western countries NGOs. The coming together of these NGOs into regional association will help us raise the profile and track records of African Youths on the world expectations and implementations of economic and developmental process to the current achievements of other Youth NGOs in other continents.
AYANGO’s vision is to serve as a platform that will support, unite, and bring together all NGOs operating on Youths to achieved common goals in bringing out the best in African Youths and has a mission to promote and support all issues and matter affecting the rights of Youths NGO and other related matters in Africa

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
Candidate must come from African Region.
Candidate must be working with an existing NGO and must be recommended by such NGO.
Candidate must be willing and able to cover his or her VISA and/or travel cost.
Candidate must prove evidence reasons why he or she should be accepted into the conference
Candidate must be at least between the ages of 16 – 35 years.

PARTICIPATION COST
There is no any participation charge or fee for this conference. It is also important to Note that the Conference Organizing Committee of AYANGO will not be responsible for round trip air tickets and maintenance costs of Delegates/Representatives accredited through our Office to the conference. The Conference Working Committee remains available only to assist AYANGO delegates seeking appropriate arrangement for their arrival. The organizing committee can assist participants by providing recommendation letters for VISA Application. At present, we have no room for scholarship

It is our expectation that this notice will assist the African NGOs working on youth related issues in preparation for the Conference. Application form for participation for the conference is open to local, national and international NGOs. Please, kindly submit your application form to the above listed emails as instructed.

International Climate Protection Fellowships

For young climate experts from developing countries interested in conducting a project in Germany and developing long-term collaborations

The fellowship allows future leaders to spend a year in Germany working on a research-based project of their own choice in the field of climate protection. Fellows are free to choose their own hosts. Submit an application if you come from a non-European transition or developing country (see list of countries) and are involved with issues relating to the scientific, engineering, legal, economic or social aspects of climate change.

During a three-week introductory phase, you will have the opportunity to make contact with other climate protection fellows and visit companies, research institutions and cultural events in Germany. An intensive German-language course before you begin the fellowship will smooth your way into everyday life in Germany whilst a continuing education event lasting several days in the course of the fellowship will enable you to acquire not only practical knowledge of climate protection but also expertise in management.

Subject to final agreement to provide funding, 20 fellowships can be granted.

Submit an application by 15 March 2014. The fellowship will begin on 1 March 2015.
