Job Title : Project Coordinator (1 positions)
Location: Songea
Reports to : Director -Caritas and Development Archdiocese of Songea(CDASO)

Major Responsibilities:
Responsible for planning, implementation, recourse management, monitoring and reporting of the SNP project.

Specific Job Responsibilities:
Closely work with CRS technical staff in Agriculture, Marketing and financing, monitoring and Evaluation for smooth implementation of the SNP project and achieving the project objectives.
Prepare and submit annual work plan and budget to CRS through the director in a timely manner.
Ensure the project receives the necessary guidance, technical assistance and material and financial resources from
CRS and the diocese to enable full implementation of the project and achieving the objectives of the project and targets in a timely manner. .
Assess and identify gaps within the project and facilitate the acquisition of the requested technical assistance from CRS and others like DAICOs' .
Monitor the progress of the project according to annual work plan and when there are delays in deviations submit timely report to CRS through director
Ensure the proper utilization of resources provided by CR and the Archdiocese for the implementation of the project.
Ensure the submission of the necessary technical and financial reports to CRS through the director as per the agreement and/or annual work plan.
Train/facilitate training for project staff
Provide guidance and support to field staff(FEO's)
Facilitate/coordinate technical support from CRS technical staff and other service providers
Facilitate the organization of farmers groups and lor SILC groups
Facilitate/coordinate training to farmers
Facilitate visits for CRS, donor and other visitors and accompany them to project sites as required.
Monitor the smooth implementation of the project and submit regular reports to CRS through the director
Identify gaps in the M&E system at field level and provide report to the director and /or CRS as necessary
Establish links with government and non-government organizations in the project area.
Fully participate in workshops/training and meetings facilitated by Caritas and CRS.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervise Field Extension Officers.

Internal: Caritas staff
External: CRS staff, target communities, District government sector officers and other stakeholders

Background:
CDASO seeks a qualified candidate for coordinator position in the Soya Ni PesaPesa project funded by USDA through
Catholic Relief Services (CRS)this project aims to increase income for smallholder farmers and build strong foundations for economic growth by promoting the cultivation and marketing of soybeans in Songea and Namtumbo district.

Qualifications and Skills:
MS or BS degree in agriculture or equivalent degrees
Not less than 5 years' experience in implementing agricultural project(s) focused on production and marketing
Good inter-personal skills.
Demonstrated personal accountability and drive to serve others.
Affinity for partner relationships
'Familiarity with and committed to address gender equality in programming.
Ability to work well as a team and independent
Proficiency in Microsoft office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook.
Good English and Swahili oral and written communication skills.

Physical Requirements/Environment: up to 75% travel time in the field.

Remuneration: Salary is negotiable
