Site Coordinator-LIFT II Project - Iringa

Position Summary:
The position will be responsible for overall project implementation in Iringa town and other sites in region. Also will oversee and develop referral systems within each community.

Main Responsibilities will entail:
• Supporting project development and design of referral systems at in Iringa town and nearby communities. Project activities include the implementation of a referral system that links hospital clients with existing community services.
• Being responsible for monitoring and arranging support to promote technical quality of the program.
• Leading monthly monitoring meetings with local implementing partners to ensure timely and effective program implementation.
• Conducting regular meetings with stakeholders and target groups and representing the organization in relevant meetings and other forums at the site(s).
• Working closely with local government agencies (hospitals, governmental coordinating bodies) and implementing agencies (NGOs, CBOs, FBOs, business leaders) and public and private health facilities, at the respective site to ensure timely implementation of and participation in project activities.
• Routinely collecting and analyzing information on project implementation and compile and submit monthly and quarterly narrative and program monitoring data reports on time.
• Articulating progress and challenges to Country Coordinator and other project team leaders.
• Conducting ongoing monitoring and evaluation of project activities at the site emphasizing quality programming.
• Developing and/or strengthening strategic partnership forums and alliances for an expanded response to HIV and AIDS at the site level.

Minimum requirement

• Experience working in a moderately supervised role as part of a larger team.
• Mastery in the following computer programs: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• Fluent in Swahili and ability to communicate at a basic level in English.
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in social sciences or public health.
• At least three years’ experience in HIV and AIDS programming.
• Experience reporting program progress using basic statistics (mean, frequency, range, etc.).
• Experience working with local government authorities.
• Possess a driving license and be able to drive motorbike.
• Knowledge of existing medical infrastructure referral system and ability to travel to nearby communities outside of Iringa Town via motorbike
